In a book club? Invite me and let's talk about the book. All questions welcome - about the process, the frustration, the anxiety, the grief....

I don't know much about building a website so this is certainly a work in progress. But isn't everything? And everyone?
I created the page to promote my new book Eyes on the Horizon which received Honorable Mention at the New York Book Festival, Winner of the New York City Big Book award and Winner of the International Impact Literary Awards, and to share stories from my readers. I am also super excited about book number 2 - a follow up to Eyes on the Horizon, tentatively titled Sundown - and book number 3, which is halfway done and is full of drama, quirky characters and dogs! Lots and lots of dogs.

Stay patient and I promise the website will turn into something usable, someday... one day.

Praise for Eyes on the Horizon

"Eyes on the Horizon by Carrie Fazzolari is a debut novel to celebrate! Claudia, the novel's compelling narrator, sweeps us up in her journey of grief. Claudia’s voice is distinctive and her observations of herself and others vary from insightful to humorous to bitter. Her journey toward the acceptance of her best friend’s death and understanding of herself is a rocky one. Fazzolari beautifully balances readers’ expectations for Claudia’s progress with scenes of her determination to remain trapped in her grief.
Believability is this author’s special gift. Readers will believe in Claudia’s devastation at the loss of her friend, because Maryann comes alive in Claudia’s memories of their friendship. Readers will believe in Claudia’s painful journey because we know self-knowledge is gained through struggle.
An exceptional aspect of the book is Claudia’s relationship with Dr. Hickey. The doctor plays a remarkable role, forcing Claudia (as no one else does) to grapple with her demons in the moment. Readers will find Claudia’s progress and resistance thrilling.
Fazzolari’s characters leave indelible impressions long after the last page is read."

"Grief is a lonely process. No one is ever prepared for the toll it takes physically or emotionally. The one common denominator is the effects of the human connections that are created or destroyed in the aftermath. Ms. Fazzolari’s debut novel gives us a birds’ eye view of one person’s journey through the process of heartache, joy and understanding. A heartwarming must-read for anyone who has experienced loss or is supporting someone in grief."
- Kelly Morgott
"Fazzolari’s story about grief and love will touch your heart – you will cry with her characters, share their struggles, and celebrate their joy. You will become part of the story – touching the bookcases, smelling the spaghetti sauce, and studying the pictures, all while following Claudia’s journey to grieve, heal, live, and find joy again."
- Nikki Charlson
"I’ve published 16 books, but through the years, I’ve told anyone who’d listen that I wasn’t really the author in the family. Eyes on the Horizon goes a long way to proving my point!"
- Cliff Fazzolari, Author of Oh Brother!

Carrie Lynn Fazzolari
I was born in 1972 and my earliest memory of writing was in 1980 when I heard Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town album. I was only eight and the topics on that album were heavy, but man, was I enthralled with the stories. I copied Lost in the Flood word for word and felt the rhythm of it. I don't think I've put the pen down since.
I grew up in a small town in Western New York. My family was big - my sister, four brothers in between and then me, the baby. My parents kept it together.
I now live with my husband, dog, two cats and sometimes our children stay for a while. I wouldn't have it any other way.
